Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany could miss a fifth successive game with a calf injury. Gareth Barry is a doubt with an ankle problem sustained during last week's FA Cup win over Leeds.

Chelsea are likely to be much-changed from the side that started Thursday's Europa League last-32 tie against Sparta Prague.

Frank Lampard, Branislav Ivanovic, Ashley Cole, David Luiz, Eden Hazard and Demba Ba could all be recalled.
