Tanzania's Taifa stars recorded yet another stunning result after
thrashing 3-1 past the Atlas Lions of Morocco in a Group C World Cup
qualifier played at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
TP Mazembe's Thomas Ulimwengu who replaced Simba's Mwinyi Kazimoto
early in the second half, scored the game's opener in the 46th minute
through a thrown in ball from Erasto Nyoni to give Tanzania a 1-0 lead
over Morocco.
Ulimwengu's introduction in the second half proved to be a good
tactical change by Kim Poulsen as provided an assist for his TP Mazembe
teammate Mbwana Samatta in the 67th minute to double Tanzania's lead.
Samatta completed his brace in the 79th minute as he sealed
Tanzania's 3-0 triumph over Morocco thanks to a well delivered cross
from Thomas Ulimwengu.
Morocco's Achchakir Abderrahim was given matching orders in the 80th
minute after an exchange of words with the match official, as things
went from bad to worse for the Altas Lions.
With this result, Tanzania stay second in Group C with six points,
one below leaders Ivory coast who have seven points. Morocco third with
two points, and the bottom sees Gambia with one point.
